Strawberries & Rhubarb with Honey, and BlueBerry Peach Jam..mmm

Well we are certainly well into a good start of Market Season and I love it!!
My kitchen smells so sweet right now, between the tart smell of the Strawberry Rhubarb Jam, and the intoxicating smell of Blueberries mingled with the Peaches makes me crave a piece of pie with Whipped Cream.

These jams are some of my favorite to indulge in this time of year...it transforms your breakfast into a real treat. They also work great to put ontop of a your favorite Vanilla Ice Cream.

They will be out of my kitchen and available at Kredl's Corner Market in Hampton by Tomorrow Morning.

Been a very productive day over 150 bagels and close to 100 cookies ready for market tommorow....this weeks feature is Brown Sugar Thumbprints with homemade Strawberry & Cranberry Jam.  The brown sugar has a faint taste of Brown Sugar Fudge....my grandmothers recipe..mmm maybe I should do up a batch....
See you all at the market bright and early!!!

"the first printed mention of bagels...is to be found in the Community Regulations of Kracow, Poland, for the year 1610 which stated that bagels would be given as a gift to any woman in childbirth."

Buns....

I am currently experimenting with a new flat bread....to be used for sandwichs, burgers, grilled delights....we had Mini  Hamburgers the other night.
the bread was moist (not soggy like some of the commercial brands) and it didn't fall apart and looked quite cute on the plat as well.
Instead of cutting the bun in half we cut my homemade hamburger pattie which had onions, peppers, sweetpotatoes and some other stuff already in it. next time I prep my burgers I'll just do them a bit smaller an it will be perfect!!
A little bit of gourment in the middle of week!!
